Clouded Monitor C.B.

Clouded monitors (Varanus nebulosus) are a large monitor species native to Burma, Thailand and Indochina to West Malaysia, Singapore, Java, and Sumatra. These originally were considered a subspecies of the Bengal or Common Indian monitor.

Like most monitors, clouded monitors are nervous captives and may take some time to tame down. Ideally, the cage should include multiple hiding spots to provide a sense of security and a lot of climbing room. These are very intelligent, active, large lizards that need a vast amount of space, time, and food, but are a very rewarding pet.
